For users new to One tsp., the app runs in the web browser and registering for an account is free. This is better than recipe software that you would install on your phone because you can also access and manage your recipes from your desktop computer or anywhere else you have access to a web browser.

Thanks for the screen shots, Anthony!

One of the goals I’ve been striving to achieve with One tsp. is to make it really simple to store and view your favorite recipes, especially when you’re trying to throw something together for dinner at the end of the day, in the office or on the go. You can jump right onto your mobile phone and view your recipes using the mobile site.

Turns out, however, that as things were up until this weekend, that sometimes meant jumping back and forth between recipes, or having to look up recipes again through your tag list. There is no search on the mobile interface… yet.

So this weekend I added a history list for your most recently viewed recipes, which is available from the home page on the web and mobile sites. So after looking through recipes at the office, you can head to the grocery store and quickly refer back to the two, three, or four recipes you were digging through — right from the One tsp. home page.

This sort of stuff will continue to get easier with the additions planned over the coming weeks.

One tsp. has a new recipe sharing feature that I added this weekend. Now you can share your recipes with friends and family by email. When you’re logged into your account, view one of your recipes and look for the “email to a friend” link on the right-hand side of the page.

When your friend receives your recipe by email, they will have the opportunity to copy the recipe directly into their One tsp. account… instantly. No typing! Give it a shot today. Send one of your favorite recipes to a friend.

Not familiar with One tsp.? What are you waiting for? It’s one of the coolest recipe management sites around, allowing you to store all of your recipes online so you can view them from anywhere you have access to a computer… at home, at work, or even in the grocery store from your mobile phone using our great mobile recipe website.

I’ve been spending some time over the last few nights trying to make sure that Google, Yahoo!, and MSN index the web version of One tsp. and not the mobile version. Seems that the .mobi version of the site shows up more frequently in Google search results, rather than the “desktop” version. Not so good.

I’m also getting a better test suite together of mobile phone emulators to make sure that users with iPhones, BlackBerries, Opera Mini, or any other mobile browser are all seeing relatively the same thing. I don’t expect it to be perfect — I’d just like it to work.

I wanted to also mention that the dev.mobi site (and other sites affiliated, see their header links) has a ton of great information about building mobilized web sites.
